Ronan Delisle’s new single “Over and Over” appears as a fleeting snapshot on the Seattle-bred and currently LA-based guitarist/songwriter's EP, Hand Against The Yew. The song observes from a distance the initial stages of dealing with one’s actions while stopping short of offering a resolution to change. The chorus of meticulously designed guitar lines weave around the vocals, either flowing in unison or serving as counterpoint. The visual elements of the video (candle light, foreign hands supporting instruments) evoke loving support and guidance that, while generously provided, remain unnoticed by the narrator-performer. The song is a contemplative point in an EP that as a whole examines Delisle's myths about himself and the world around him through a distinct lyrical and musical sense.
